Create a Pixel-Art Setting for Final Whistle with Split & Peel
Create an original pixel-art setting for Final Whistle with Split & Peel, a football commentary show starring two animated hosts.
Give them somewhere memorable to discuss the beautiful game: a stadium or broadcast gantry, a scrappy studio, a floodlit training pitch, a five-a-side cage, a pub back room, a supporters’ train, a tunnel, a rooftop pitch—or anywhere else you think would benefit from Split & Peel commentary. Surprise us.
The setting should establish a strong sense of place while leaving room for the two hosts to perform.
Submit one complete setting with:
An opaque static PNG, exactly 1600 × 900 px (16:9). A seamlessly looping GIF, exactly 1600 × 900 px (16:9). (optional) An editable layered source file such as .aseprite or layered PSD. (optional) A public download link containing the PNG, GIF, and source file shared on X or Farcster Recommended pixel workflow: work at 320 × 180 and enlarge exactly 5×, or work at 400 × 225 and enlarge exactly 4×. Use nearest-neighbour scaling only—no smoothing or antialiasing. Must be usable in Banny Studio https://apps.apple.com/us/app/banny-studio/id6788916305
Keep the lower-middle area calm enough for the hosts and a desk or foreground prop. The hosts are normally staged around 25% and 79% of frame width. Do not place essential signs, faces, jokes, or story information directly behind those positions. Keep important details at least 5% inside each edge. The artwork must still look intentional when the left or right side is enlarged to roughly 1.8× for close-ups. Do not bake in the Final Whistle title, subtitles, score graphics, sponsor marks, or episode-specific text. Do not use copyrighted club crests, commercial logos, watermarks, or artwork you do not have the right to submit.
Keep the environmental motion subtle enough to sit behind a talking show.
Preferred: 4–8 frames, 2–4 fps, and a 2–4 second infinite loop. Good motion includes small light changes, a flag edge, monitor glow, steam, water sparkle, a drifting cloud layer, or distant crowd movement. Avoid camera movement, full-frame animation, flashing, large brightness changes, and distracting continuous motion. The first and last frames must connect without a visible jump. Aim for a GIF under 2 MB; 5 MB maximum. The static PNG should match frame 1 of the GIF.
Post the finished setting on X or Farcaster. Show the animated loop; a short video preview is acceptable if the platform does not display the GIF properly. If posting on X, tag @PublicProof. If posting on Farcaster, tag @kmacb.eth. Submit a POIDH claim using the static PNG as the claim image. In the claim description, include: the public X or Farcaster post URL; the public download link for the PNG, GIF, and layered source; a short note about the setting and what you animated. A claim without the social-post link and downloadable deliverables is incomplete.
This is a creative competition, not first-claim-wins. The winner will be selected for:
originality and sense of place; how naturally Split & Peel can inhabit the scene; clarity in wide shots and left/right close-ups; confident, consistent pixel craft; restrained, seamless animation; technical completeness.
Submit your POIDH claim by September 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Claims submitted after the deadline are not eligible.
